When I took Wrigley out this morning, I noticed these tiny daffodils growing next the building next to my apartment. I thought it was really interesting that these flowers were growing here because this alleyway between the two buildings gets very little sunlight (though nothing gets much sunlight in Seattle…). Instead of focusing on just the flowers I wanted to get more of the entire scene in view to get one of those “growing in the face of adversity” shots.

I probably took 30 pictures trying to get the foremost flower in focus, but my camera doesn’t have an LCD screen that flips out. It was raining and I didn’t want to lie on the ground. The image here is the one that I ended up liking the best.
