I live in Seattle and work as a Program Manager for Xbox Live. I moved to the Seattle area about a year ago. Before moving to Washington, I lived in Illinois. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs which turned me into a Bulls, Bears, and Cubs fan. :) From there I went to school at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign. I studied Computer Science in the College is of Engineering and received a Bachelor’s and Masters. My concentration was Human Computer Interaction, and more specifically, Social Computing and Visualizations.

I have this desire to continue to learn and improve myself. Since moving to Seattle, I’ve learned to ski, swim and sail. (No, I didn’t learn to swim when I was young). I started taking flute lessons and am looking forward to joining a community band.

I’m continuing to learn Japanese and started to learn Italian. I’ve been to Japan 3 times, once as a student exchange in Niigata, once as a study abroad in Kanazawa, and once as for a vacation to Tokyo. I figure I’ve been to Japan a bunch of times, it may be time to branch out and visit some where else. Next on the list is Italy. Why Italy? Well, there are two reasons. One, the game Assassin’s Creed II takes place there and the developers definitely did their research. They tried to stay as true to history as they possibly could, the families, the architecture, the art. The other reason I want to visit Italy is because of this fantastic article in the April issue of National Geographic Traveler. The article is about a trip to the Amalfi Coast and it basically sounds like the perfect vacation.
